It all started in 2001 with the Seminar and Presentation “Laser Scanning – XXI Century Technology” and got the support of Gosgortechnadzor of Russia (Federal Service of Technological Inspectorate of Russia) and GIS-Association. The seminar included field demonstration of RIEGL LMSZ 210 and the results of the first projects involving RIEGL LMSZ 210. Gradually the seminar grew into an international large scale event – Annual Conference on laser scanning ad digital aerial photography. This year the Conference is held for the eighth time already.

The Conference serves as a platform for promoting scientific cooperation and research in Geoinformatics on a global scale. It provides delegates with a marvelous opportunity - a one-off forum to meet with potential partners and discuss the most up-to-date Geoinformatics issues facing us today. The Conference focuses on airborne laser scanning and digital aerial photography as well as on terrestrial laser scanning. These rapidly advancing technologies have great impact on Geomatics, Geodesy, Geology, Geophisics and on other geo-related sciences. The Conference hosts an exposition demonstrating the latest innovations on the geodetic market, up-to-date equipment for aerial and terrestrial survey as well software products.
